Graphical Programming For Microsoft Access in Microsoft VISIO

This blog is dedicated to the creation of a shareware program called "GraphicalAccess".

GraphicalAccess is currently in the Beta test phase and looking for volunteers to help with testing.

Description of the Project:

Version 1 - GraphicalAccess Database Diagramming Tool

Just inherit a large MS Access database from a collegue and don't know where to start, figuring out how it works?

Collegues ask you for help all the time on their databases, and the first thing you do is start diagramming the database, by hand.....?

Create a complex database, and now someone's insisting, or Sarbanes-Oxley is insisting, that you document how it works?

GraphicalAccess V1.0 can help!

Version 2 - GraphicalAccess Graphical Programming Tool for Microsoft Access and VISIO

During this phase of the project, our tool to allow creation and modification of Microsoft Access Databases, graphically, directly in VISIO, is being debugged and basic functionality improved upon. ( Expected Completion Sept. 2005 )

The market leaders in Graphical Programming Tools are:

  • Labview Software by National Instruments
  • Simulink Software by The Mathworks
  • Softwire Graphical Programming Tool for Visual Basic

Our goal is to bring this elegant, beautiful technology, to the hands of Microsoft Access Power-Users, Wanna-be's, or heir & heiresses, Accountants, Financial Professionals, and others who are spending lots of time navigating through the complex Microsoft Access user-interface.
