Can you do a version for MS SQL or MSDE?

Does the program draw relationships between tables and queries? Relationships between several queries? Do you already have to have relationships setup in Access for the program to draw these in Visio?

GraphicalAccess draws relations of queries to tables, other queries, also, which forms use which queries and tables and which reports use which tables and queries.

There is no setup required. GraphicalAccess looks at each object, identifies it's data source, and creates a diagram in one easy step.

Currently, the program identifies only one source table or query, for complex queries. This will be addressed in V2.0

Version 2.0 also will provide the ability to edit and modify databases immediately from Visio, once you've created the diagram.

Our hope is to have Vers. 2.0 available by Sept. 2005.

    Thanks for your interest.

I try your program. It load up the Visio program and did not load up the MS Access database file and so on... I will like to know what is the next step to the process to get the graphical show up on the Visio screen.

I am trying to run the GraphicalAccess V1.0. So what is the process steps to run the program? Do I have to have the MS Access database put in some dir? or the program will find by it self? Do you have user menu?

I have win2K, win2k Visio, and .NET install. After download the GraphicalAccess V1.0 and run the program as you show on the user menu. It load Visio and the error screen show up as "Microsoft .NET Framework" and the message as "An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in you application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attepmt to continue. Argument 'Prompt' cannot be converted to type 'String' " and I enter "continue" it show blank screen on the Visio. So what is the problem here. Let me know. Thank

Sorry about the setup problems...hopefully will be better in version 2.0, which should be available in a few months....

In the meantime: Are you running Visio 2003? Office 2003? Those are prerequisites. Do you have a std. US English installation of windows or international version?

With WinXP, Office 2003, Visio 2003 running, you can start the process in two alternate ways.

    Alterantive 1-
use the icon which will prompt you to find your MS Access database, once you've selected the database, the application will open visio and create the diagram

    Alternative 2-
Open Visio. Visio will prompt to ask if you want to use GraphicalAccess when Visio starts. If you select "Yes" you will come to the "file open" form, where you will have to find the path to your access database. Once you've found this, Visio should give you the diagram, again automatically.

    Appreciate your patience & persistence.....

Let me know if this doesn't work for you, Regards, Chris
